SYDNEY, 14 April 2010: ICON International Communications has recently appointed two senior practitioners to lead some of the agency’s key accounts under the direction of MD Chris Gray. Clare Waller has joined ICON as Account Director, while Nicky Preston has joined as Senior Account Manager. The pair have come onboard following a series of new business wins for the agency, including international express distribution brand FedEx, global consulting firm Gallup Consulting, international airline Lufthansa and Australian accounting firm WHK Horwath.
The company has also picked up project work for a major manufacturer, as well as a consumer technology company – and has continued to expand its work across SE Asia for one of its key clients, Garuda Indonesia.
Waller, who has almost a decade of B2B and B2c experience, joined from international marketing communications firm Daemon, while Preston previously worked for specialist agency BlueIce Communications in London.
Commenting on the appointments, Gray said: “We are confident 2010 is going to be a strong year for the agency, with our teams having picked up a number of solid accounts in recent times. The addition of new senior hires is indicative of the fact we are looking to bolster our offerings moving forward.”
